Racquet Choice
Without the help of an experience tennis player buying a racquet can be an uneasy experience. However, there are some basic guidelines to get you on track in purchasing a new racquet.
To pick a suitable and comfortable racquet use these guidelines:
- Player with less power and slow swing needs a lighter racquet and oversized head.
- Intermediate player with more skills could go with less power but more maneuverability. This player would require a midsize head and extended length.
- Advance player would go with a racquet that is heavier, balanced head and thinner beams(frame) for more control.
Therefore the general rule:
- The heavier the racquet the more power and stability.
- The lighter the racquet the easier it is to swing and control, but may not provide the needed power.
The player will have to balance these for their ideal racquet.
